CSX 160.23, 161.37 & 160.32, CN 160.59, 161.22 & 160.845. Currently using a Kenwood TK-705D as the receiver connected to a Workman BS-150 omnidirectional antenna fed with LMR600. The antenna is at approximately 60' above the ground near MP 205 on CN. On CSX I am hearing the DD at 104.3, 79.9, 64.0, Ensel Yard, Grand Ledge, Lake Odessa, Fowlerville and areas in between. On CN it covers the DD at 206.3, 219.5 and 232.0. Lately, I have also heard the DD at 186.3 and 166.6 as well as 257. Cory and Snow Yard along with some of the network in Battle Creek. I will continue to work on other improvements as time and weather allow.
Located near downtown St. Joseph, MI. CSX RR dispatch and road, Coast Guard and marine channels. Marine traffic is primarily commercial and pleasure craft interacting with a railroad bridge and two road bridges that span the St. Joseph River.
*****August 16, 2018: Marine 73, port operations, removed. It was fun to hear the dredging in St. Joe Harbor and the intra-boat coordination of the big boats coming in, but lately, there's been too much random fishing chatter. Back to focusing on trains and the most critical marine traffic.***** Saint Joseph, Michigan, features the intersection of the CSX railroad, a navigable river, and general pleasure and commercial traffic on Lake Michigan. There is a railroad swing bridge and two highway bridges that cross the Saint Joseph River, with radio traffic coordinating train and boat movements. 160.230 AAR 8 - CSX Road (priority channel) 160.635 AAR 35 - CSX Dispatcher 156.800 Marine 16 International Distress, Safety and Calling. 156.450 Marine 9 Boater Calling. Trains can be heard 7-10 miles away, with dispatcher transmissions coming from much further. The Chicago Police Marine Division base and commercial traffic entering Chicago area ports can also be heard when conditions are good.

Though there never have been problems, just remember to observe the generally accepted etiquettes for internet forums while posting in this forum. So, no spamming, no flaming, no cursing, no undue quoting, etc. You get the drift. Queries
When posting a query in the forum, if possible, please add as much information as possible that can assist in solving your problem. Adding images
When posting a query and adding an image, please note the following:
* It should be avoided to include images that are too broad. Not every user will have a widescreen monitor and broad images can result in having to scroll from left to right to read the texts. The recommended maximum width is 600 pixels.
* If you use [ img ] tags to include images in your post, remember that the link will be broken as soon as:
- the image is deleted from the remote server;
- the image on the remote server is renamed;
- the remote server is down.
- The webmaster cannot always repair broken links. The original poster will have to do that him/herself and needs to keep in track of images (s)he placed in the forum him/herself.
* Please, place images in the message itself rather than just providing links to (internet pages with) the images. For practical reasons, it is better to have the actual images in the thread discussing a matter rather than having them in separate windows.
* Please try to keep the number of queries per thread restricted to one or a number of related queries at most. It confuses the reader if two or more elaborate discussions start on different subjects in the same thread. Also, it will lead to the loss of overview.br /> * Instructions for adding images to posts in the Frequently Asked Questions should be followed.
* If an image is not taken by yourself but linked to, for example, in an online photo album or another website, you must give a link to the relevant page invisible text (preferable between [ url ] tags), too.
